Superstar Rajinikanth was honored with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 67th National Film Awards ceremony. The actor was given this award for his outstanding contribution to the film industry for over five decades. On this special occasion, Rajinikanth's wife Latha, daughter Saandrya and son-in-law Dhanush were also present at the event. Interestingly, Dhanush also received the National Film Award for Best Actor for the film 'Asuran' at this event. At the same time, in his winning speech, Rajinikanth expressed his gratitude to many people.

Taking the award, Rajinikanth said- 'I am very happy to receive the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. My thanks to the Honorable Central Govt. I dedicate this award to my mentor, my guru K Balachander. In this moment I remember him with gratitude and my brother Satyanarayan Gaikwad who is like my father, who raised me with great values ​​and spirituality. My friends, bus transport drivers, my colleagues in Karnataka- Raj Bahadur. I was the bus conductor, he recognized my acting talent and encouraged me to join cinema.
